Merry Christmas!

I cant believe Christmas is finally here! Christmas time has a whole new spirit and excitement this year sharing it with my little girls. We started off our Christmas with new traditions. We took the girls to go see Christmas lights in this amazing neighborhood where everyone has tons of lights that play to Christmas music played on a radio station. It was so much fun to be all bundled up all cozy taking in the joys of Christmas.

We spent our Christmas morning this year at Grandma Teri's house. The girls had a blast opening all of their presents and also fighting over them too.

Santa Babies

Today Clint got sent home from work since it was raining so we took advantage of our Monday and decided to go see Santa Clause. Since it's our first Christmas we weren't sure what to expect when the girls finally got to meet Santa. Of course they did great actually they weren't really sure what the big deal was. They just looked up at Santa then back at us wondering why some crazy lady is shaking bells at them. The picture isn't full of smiles but I am a happy mama it isn't full of tears.

We also picked up a personalized ornament at the mall. We get one every year (since we've been married) to represent that special year. Its always fun to hang them on the tree every year and look back and all the great years we have had together.

I love this ornament from last year. Grandma Teri got this for me since I was too pregnant to go get one last year. I think it sums up last year perfectly.

9 Months Old

9 months is already here. I cant believe how much they have grown and their personalities keep blossoming as well. The girls are still sleeping in our room and we just upgraded to a king size bed so they can climb into our bed in the morning and watch their favorite cartoon Micky Mouse Clubhouse while I go back to sleep. Between the new teeth coming in and the babies head cold I feel like I am up all night.

As I was writing this blog thinking about how there is no new milestones to report Chloe and Cadey both decided that tonight at exactly 9 months that they would start holding their own bottles. I am one happy mama and so excited to pass this feeding onto them. It's much more enjoyable for me to have them cuddle up next to me while they eat then having my arms cramp up while I have to hold to bottles at the same time.

Two sick babies equals one sick mommy

This weekend has become my worse nightmare both babies woke up with a head cold Friday morning. I have always had the fear of taking care of two sick babies and feeling sick with them. Just the thought of two screaming babies while you feel like your on your death bed scares me. Well its here Clint and I both woke up Sunday with a sore throat and was all down hill from there, fever, body aches, and lots of tissues. In the midst of feeling like I was hit by a truck all I could do is feel sorry for my babies. They cant tell me if their throats hurt or even get to blow their noises. They don't even get to take a decongestant, the only thing they get to do is cry and wonder what has happened to them. As we battle our cold as a family I took these super cute pictures of the girls soaking in a nice warm bath.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving has brought a whole new meaning of being thankful this year to our family. Having Cadey and Chloe in our lives has brought such joy and excitement every month as they grow and bringing new life to all of our holidays.

We have also realized this month how thankful we need to be for our health. A couple of days before thanksgiving my sister in law Terra found out that she had melanoma skin cancer at the age of 24. What we thought was going to be a quick removal of a little mole we came to find out the cancer has already spread to two of her lymph noides. With the surgery being a little bit more invasive then planned we decided that we would need to change our Thanksgiving plans and head up to Apline on Thursday to have dinner there so Terra could rest and still be a part of the Thanksgiving dinner. We are all praying for her that they were able to remove all the cancer.

Grandpa Don came down for a couple of days from Vegas to spend the holidays with his favorite grand daughters. He cooked us up an amazing feast Friday since our turkey didn't get cooked for Thanksgiving.

We are so blessed and thankful for our family, friends and of course our biggest blessings of them all is our two little turkeys.

8 Months Old

My baby girls turned 8 months today. I cant believe how fast time goes by. I am so excited for them to experience their first Thanksgiving and to see what exciting milestones they reach this month. My personal goal is to get them sleeping in their room. I know your probably thinking that should have already happened but its just so much easier to have them right next to me in our room. It only takes a second for someone to cry before the other one joins in. So to be able to jump on a situation without going down the hallway saves me so much time and the hope that maybe someone might sleep through a feeding.

Rainy weekend and a Costco run

Love this fabulous rainy weekend. Its so much fun bundling up the girls into their cozy outfits and cant forget to mention their cutest beanies ever (thank you gma Teri). This weekend was pretty laid back with lots of movies and of course a warm fire. We did have to do a Costco run today for diapers  (I wont even mention how many we go through) and the girls got to sit double in the awesome shopping carts that fits twins! It was the cutest thing ever. I will just let the pictures do the rest of the talking! Enjoy

Cadey got her first tooth today! So excited for her. I am hoping Chloe isn't to far behind so they can have matching teeth.

Happy Halloween

The girls had a great first Halloween. They dressed up in their Pink Skeleton costumes and helped pass out candy. I was so proud how brave they were and didn't let any of the creepy costumes  or decorations scare them. We usually have one of the scary houses on the street and Clint is known to make people run from our house screaming. So it was a blast watching groups of people decide who was the brave one to ring our door bell and for me to answer the door with a baby put a relief look on all the trick or treaters faces. Next year we will be back to our haunted house ways with the addition of Cadey and Chloe to help out. Maybe dress them up as little ghost to bobble around through our grave yard.

Auction Day

Today we went down to Escondido to visit Grandma Teri at work and do a little auctioning. It was a really cool ranch that was being sold and was full of antiques. Everything I wanted was going for top dollar so I was very excited when Clint scored my wing back chairs for only $4 each. I can not wait to attempt to reupholster them myself.
Since the location was so amazing we also decided to take advantage of some cool spots for some family photos.

What a week!

This week seemed extra long. With Clinton working 10 hours days and going to school three nights a week it seems like I never see him. So i am very excited for our super busy weekend and to have lots of time together as a family.

Cadey has made my week even longer with her new found talent of screaming. She did it in the past but seemed to forget about it and now it has returned in full force. She screams throughout the entire day. She screams while shes playing, eating, and even in the middle of the night when we are done with her bottle. It doesn't stop! She even was mimicking herself when i was up loading her video for this post (ok well that part was cute and made me laugh)

On a positive note I love my new jogger and the girls love it to. We are so blessed that some one just gave it to us. I cant wait to finally get to the point where i can jog or even maybe run. But our daily walks are just as fun. It's a perfect way to end our day with the babies ready to go on an adventure and I finally get some silence plus some exercise.
Here are some cute pictures of the week. Enjoy!

Getting Crafty

We started our weekend off with a family craft. It was so fun to get crafty with the babies and even have hubby lend a hand. The girls made adorable feet ghost for an ever lasting memory of how small their little feet were on there first Halloween.

We might be on to something! The girls have finally slept through a whole night! Cadey and Chloe had a bottle at 7:30 pm and didn't wake up until 7:30 am. Now that doesn't mean that I got any sleep of course I was sleeping on edge waiting for the cries and had to keep getting up to make sure everything was ok.  We recently went from 8 bottles a night down to 4 and I thought that was amazing until I got a sneak peak of what sleeping all night is like.

We have been trying to stay busy over the weekends and enjoy our family time. It seems to be a lot more fun to be out keeping the girls busy then sitting at home. Since I am stuck at home all week we tend to run out of fun areas for the girls to go since they cant sit or crawl yet. Saturday we headed out to the Orange County Swap meet. Our neighbor gave us a double jogging stroller so we were very excited to try it out. Unfortunately it was a bust since everything was way overly priced. Sunday was nice, we went to the girls great grandparents house for a delicious lunch and great company. It was a perfect weekend and hoping for a good week ahead.

Pumpkin Time

This weekend was gorgeous. The temperature was absolutely perfect after having rain all week. We started our weekend with our errands. It practically takes all day just to run into a couple of stores for our necessities. After being exhausted from running around  with the girls i decided its time for mommy to go get a pedicure and relax. Daddy decided to join, the girls were being fussy and no way was he going to stay home by himself with two crying babies. It was a blast it was his first time and we each held a baby in our lap while being pampered.

Sunday was a perfect. It was off to Bates Pumpkin Farm with my brother and sister in law. I was so excited for the girls to get their first pumpkins. The girls were such troopers since it was pretty warm out and had to be carried around in the sun all day.  I love the picture we got of the girls and the giant pumpkin. Of course I wanted to bring home the biggest one but i settled for some baby pumpkin's since we quickly ran out of space in the car with baby equipment.

Fall is finally here

I couldn't be happier that fall is finally here. We are all decorated and ready to celebrate. This time last year I was pregnant and wasn't really able to enjoy the holidays due to my bed rest and really just having a hard time getting around. So this year I decided to stay ahead and enjoy every minute of it with my family.

This weekend was a little busy. On Friday I finished up my Christmas shopping for the girls. Yes you read that right I am all done Christmas shopping and then we were off to the doctors for the girls 6 months shots. It's so hard to watch your babies being tortured. They each got 4 shots plus had to drink an oral one. Thanks to flu season we will be back in one month to get the second half of the influenza vaccine.

Saturday was fun. We met up with my brother Loui and his wife Valerie for some antique shopping and lunch in fallbrook. It was pretty hot so the day didn't last long but we got some great pictures and enjoyed getting out of the house for a little bit. The rest of the day the girls slept and recovered from their shots.

Today Tuesday was soooo nice, we finally got some rain. It was nice to bundle up the girls and be cozy all day. We even snuck out for a short walk in between showers. The girls were so excited to be wearing their fabulous beanies.
