Daddy's Little Girls

We had a really good weekend spending time together as a family. With clint gone so much at work and school I love to see how obsessed the girls are over their daddy. He always gets the biggest smiles when he enters the room and chloe is working on "dada" being her first word.

Here are a couple of pictures I snagged from daddy's phone. I love to see how he captures the girls during his time with the girls.

Say Mama

This week was the longest week ever, with hubby working 50 plus hours and attending night school I have been left to fend for myself with these girls.

The best part of my week was when Cadey let me capture her saying "mama". She has been saying it randomly up until this week and now is really mastering it when she wants me. This video really makes up for her tantrums she also picked up this week. Not really sure where it came from but she made sure of it to express herself all day Thursday by tightening her fist and screaming as loud as she could to see what kind of reaction she could get. Unfortunately Chloe was the real one to suffer since every time she would doze off for a nap Cadey made sure of it to scream at her loudest pitch. By the end of the day I was pretty worn out spending the day with Cadey screaming and Chloe crying. I am praying this new phase disappears very soon.

Baby Shower

On Sunday, we finished up our weekend in Yucipa celebrating Kyle and Heathers Baby Shower. They are expecting their first baby boy Wesley and we are so excited to have a new addition to the family. It was a beautiful day filled with family, friends, and fun.

Cadey and Chloe did amazing considering the 100 degree weather. I was very happy to finally get a family picture even if Chloe was on the edge of crying. I am getting used to the idea of at least one of them making a odd face in each of our pictures.

Congrats again to Kyle and Heather and hoping the very best to their new family addition.

High Risk Infant Developemental Evaluation

Had a very long day Friday, the girls were scheduled for their high risk infant developmental evaluation in Escondido. The girls each had to complete a hour and half of testing that included motor and development skills. I was a very proud mommy watching my babies sit so well at the table completing all of their tests. They tested the girls at their adjusted age of 4 months and of course mastered beyond that. They were graded comprehensive over all (which is the highest) and also scored at a 6 month level for comprehension and a 8 month level for expression in their speech and language evaluation. Clint and I could not be more happy that the girls are right on track after all the girls have been through.

Thank you Grandma Teri for all of your help I could not accomplish these appointments without you.

growing up so fast

Since the babies have turned 6 months I feel like I have finally had time to enjoy them thoroughly. I love how they have learned to communicate by reaching out for me ( they just learned that this weekend ) and have patience for me me when they both decide they are ready for their bottle at the same time. Their smiles and laughs make me so proud to be their mommy.

This week Chloe has been having a hard time with teething. Its actually been going on for months now and we are very ready for some teeth to come in already. I love that out of her million choices of teething toy options her pacifier is her favorite. She just turns it sideways and chews on the outer part.

Also this week Cadey has been practicing saying "mama" although when she says it she has to make the most funniest face and say it up to the sky like shes howling. Its probably one of the funniest things I have ever seen but very proud that I got to be her first word. Maybe we will work on Chloe saying "dada" so it will be fair.

Looking forward to what they come up with next as they grow up so fast!

born together best friends forever

When I had twins I figured that they would be born with this amazing bond that you always hear about. I quickly learned that they rather pretend the other didn't exist. 6 months has brought so much joy to heart as the girls have finally started noticing each other. This exciting moment was captured as i was doing dishes and looked over to find my baby girls holding hands. I am so excited to watch this bond grow as they discover a new best friend.
